HARDROCK 100

In 2025, we followed Mathieu Blanchard through the Hardrock 100, a hundred miles through the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, widely considered one of the hardest mountain ultras in the world.

The original assignment was simple: short-form content for Mathieu's sponsors.

But going back through the footage after the race, something else was there. A deeper story about what a hundred miles actually does to a person.

We decided to build it differently. No interviews. No talking heads. Instead, a single voice — written and performed by an artist — that doesn't comment on the race but embodies it. The mountain, the doubt, the body breaking down: the narration became a character of its own.

The result is the film above, rawer and more brutal than what trail running usually looks like on screen.
